![]() ![]() After typing a date string, it becomes underlined. There’s a curious option when working with date text in Notability. I add annotations with the handwriting ink around the outline and later export the entire thing to my note archive in DEVONthink. I find these particularly useful for meeting agendas. Number outlines are also well supported in Notability. Tab indents new items and they even support formatted text within checklists. On any of the supported Notability platforms, just select some text and set the format to checklist. The support for outlines and checklist is excellent and something that is one of the main selling point over GoodNotes. Simple formatting is the least of what I like about text in Notability. I don’t want to fiddle, I just want to call attention to some text or create an informative divider in a section. Still, the simplicity of having just three favorites is exactly how I work with text formatting in my notes. The same features exist on the iPhone and the Mac but the favorites do not sync, which is a bit of let down. Notability also adds an option to create three favorite formats to quickly apply to text. Notability makes it a lot more natural to jump between the two modes and provides some additional formatting options that actually keep me typing longer.Īs with the ink, there are limited text formatting options in Notability but what’s there is easily accessible and covers most of what I want to do. While I love handwriting in GoodNotes it always felt a bit awkward to type text. I try to avoid using too many colors and almost always use the same line thickness. There are plenty of ink variations in Notability for my needs. But the difference is slight and in my use not important enough to ignore the other application differences. It feels a bit smoother and more realistic to me. The ink system in GoodNotes is subtly better than Notability. But, I’ve switched to Notability since a recent update that adds handwriting recognition on top of Notability’s other more refined features. The advantage of GoodNotes has always been its excellent handwriting recognition and export. I often need a combination of diagrams, text, and plain old doodles for meeting notes. GoodNotes is a terrific app for handwritten notes. ![]() ![]() As of the time of making, Athens Dash 3 has not been released yet. Looking to upgrade your existing flat panel lights? Starting a new project from scratch? The lighting experts at TCP are ready to help transform your space with beautiful, durable, and energy efficient flat panel fixtures.Slim and versatile, the Edge Lit Pro LED Light from Savage is a uniquely shaped 12.6 x 8.6" diffused light source producing a soft and controllable quality of light. This makes them most suitable for drop ceiling applications. That is because they require a deeper housing, which typically makes them about twice the thickness of edge lit alternatives. If you’re looking for a fixture that is incredibly thin, back lit panels may not be the best choice. This lowers the cost per fixture by about 30%, without giving up brightness. Compared to edge lit LED panels, the backlighting feature in these panels means they can put out more lumens with fewer LEDs. This makes installation much less of a hassle. Back lit panels have a minimalist design that is both lightweight and durable. ![]() Back lit panels may also be known as direct lit panels. Unlike edge lit panels, back lit LED panels are made of an array of LEDs that shine vertically down from a horizontal plate through a diffuser. This means the cost per fixture is slightly higher, resulting in a higher overall energy bill. Edge lit panels require more LEDs per light when compared to back lit fixtures. These include standard drop ceiling installation as well as surface mounts and suspensions. Since these lights are so slim, it is possible to install them with a number of ceiling styles. Edge lit panels are incredibly slim, giving them aesthetic as well as functional appeal. You may also see edge lit panels referred to as side lit panels. The light-guide plate then directs the light down toward the floor through a diffuser. The LEDs shine horizontally into a light-guide plate. What are edge lit panels? Edge lit panel lights have a row of LEDs attached around the circumference of the panel. Below, we will dive into the details to help you make the best decision for your commercial space. Especially targeted were those state and Party officials who had played a significant role in defending the city. By 1952, over two thousand municipal officials had been fired. Subsequent trials followed, in which more than two hundred Lenigraders were convicted on trumped-up political charges. Found guilty in September 1950, six of the nine defendants were sentenced to death and immediately shot. ![]() In February 1949, the Politburo brought fabricated charges of treason against top Leningrad leaders, accusing them of attempting to establish a rival party organization. In order to keep the potentially dangerous city in check and remove any threat that might be posed by Leningrad's younger, popular leaders, Stalin endorsed the so-called "Leningrad Affair". In unendurable conditions, they had not succumbed or surrendered – and all this without assistance from Moscow. The siege had only increased this nagging suspicion: for almost 900 days, the city leaders, cut off in blockaded Leningrad, had acted autonomously and defended the city with irreproachable courage. Many of its numerous rooms contained nothing but empty gilt frames shortly after the Nazi invasion, museum staff and volunteers had worked around the clock, packing two freight trains with over a million exhibits that were shipped to the town of Sverdlovsk in the Ural Mountains. Repairs to the Hermitage, which had suffered considerable damage during the bombing attacks, started even before the war ended. In the words of the Leningrad poet, Sergei Davydov: "Here lies half the city." Almost uncountable, about half a million of them were buried in 186 mass graves at the Piskarevsky Memorial Cemetery, which during the war was just an enormous empty pit into which the bodies had been dumped. Rebuilding included the arduous task of disposing of the bodies of the blockade's many victims. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() In 2011, TopTenReviews found that the 7z compression was at least 17% better than ZIP, and 7-Zip's own site has since 2002 reported that while compression ratio results are very dependent upon the data used for the tests, "Usually, 7-Zip compresses to 7z format 30–70% better than to zip format, and 7-Zip compresses to zip format 2–10% better than most other zip-compatible programs." Airborne-particle abrasion is a type of surface treatment to increase the surface area and wettability of the material, resulting in intimate adaptation of the resin/restoration interface and increased the repair bond strength. The repair requires special surface treatment because the interfacial adhesion between the new resin layers and the restoration degrades over time. The concept of repair is part of the philosophy of minimally invasive dentistry, which is based on the preservation of tooth structure and aims to avoid repeated cycles of restoration. When a fractured restoration is veneered with resin composite, the size and nature of the defect must be considered when the dentist decides whether to repair or replace the restoration. ![]() These complications may lead to clinical failures and the need for additional operative treatment. The durability of these CAD /CAM restorative polymers can be compromised by technical complications such as chipping, bond failure, and wear. Although these restorations seem highly promising from a mechanical point of view, a resin composite veneering material is required for aesthetic reasons and their bonding durability in oral environments. Clinicians should consider the type of materials, simplicity of processing and bonding, mechanical properties, and oral environmental conditions when choosing long-term provisional restorative materials. ![]() Long-term provisional prostheses may present new therapeutic possibilities for maxillofacial rehabilitation, implant-supported treatments, and periodontal therapy. Due to the increased fracture strength, better stress distribution, and less abrasion of the opposing enamel, these materials are more versatile. To improve material properties beyond conventional polymerization, prefabricated polymer blanks are industrially polymerized under standardized conditions at high temperature and pressure. There are many prefabricated polymer-based CAD/CAM materials in the market that can be used to fabricate provisional restorations. Everest C-Temp and PEEK are recommended as long-term durable provisional materials for clinical use. Thermocycling had no significant effect on the repair SBS for PEEK. ConclusionsĮverest C-Temp had the highest repair SBS after an airborne abrasion particle. PEEK significantly recorded the second highest repair SBS (15.96 ± 0.18) in the SB group. Everest C-Temp significantly recorded the highest repair SBS (17.84 ± 0.19 MPa) in group SB, while the lowest repair SBS values (5.51 ± 1.14 MPa) for CAD-Temp were recorded in group C. The SB group had significantly higher repair SBS values (p < .001) compared to the other groups (C and SB-T). ANOVA and Tukey’s significant difference tests were used to evaluate the data. The shear bond strength and the mode of failure were assessed. Primer and nanohybrid repair resin composite were applied to the prepared CAD /CAM surfaces. Thirty specimens from each provisional restorative materials (CAD-Temp, Everest C-Temp, and PEEK) were divided into three groups: C: surfaces received no treatment SB: surfaces were airborne particle abraded with 50 μm aluminum oxide SB-T: surfaces received the same conditions as group SB in addition to thermocycling before and after treatment.
